Sustainability

Denim One strives to make clothing more eco-friendly. We use tools and technologies that reduce the water and energy required to manufacture a pair of jeans. We aim to grow towards reducing the negative effects of denim from farming to landfills, towards the environment. For this reason, we keep a track of the Environmental Impact Measurement data.

Process innovation

Denim One uses new waterless washing techniques, such as ozone and laser processes. We conserve water and manage effluents with our selection of G2 and LST machines. Moreover, we can now change cast and bleach without using chemicals.

Sustainable Wash

Denim One recycles the wastewater that is generated. We use a significant amount of it for laundry in our factory after it passes through our effluent treatment plant. A portion is also used again in horticulture.

Renewable Energy

Denim One is advancing the use of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency. We use local biofuels instead of conventional energy sources to run our boilers. Waste-heat recovery also allows us to save more energy.

Technical Representative

We have a specific Technical Representative for chemical management whose sole responsibility is to decrease the use of dangerous chemicals in the supply chain. We only buy chemicals from licensed chemical vendors who have all the necessary compliance paperwork.

Growth Towards Sustainability

We’re also working with a significant clothing company to find and use new chemical processes that don’t harm the environment. The best method for evaluating the safety of chemicals used in clothing manufacturing is currently in its assessment practices.

It provides an objective standard for the industry and increases the transparency of restricted substance lists.
